NFTC 2023
Final Round
Baylor Law (Gili Canales and Gage Jones) represented the plaintiff in a medical device product defect case against South Carolina (Zachary Freeman and Tanner Wise), who took the side of the device manufacturer.
The final round competitors faced a surprise twist: the expert witness on each side was a real-life anesthesiologist, whom the teams could consult regarding the technical aspects of the case.
After a close contest and a split 3-2 decision, South Carolina prevailed to become the 2023 NFTC Champion.
